Starter Kit!

This kit is specially designed for the littlest of hands! Each item put into the kit is larger in size, making it easier for tiny hands to grip and manipulate. The accessories in here are the perfect tools for little ones that are just getting started in their sensory play, as they will provide the best experience in texture, design, and all around fun! 

We know from experience that little ones like to experiment with putting things in their mouths. That is how they explore and learn! With that knowledge in mind, the accessories in the Starter Kit are bigger in size than those of the other kits. Caretaker supervision is still required. 

It is suggested for caretakers to help guide the child in sensory play with the starter kit. Whether they are in their high chairs, or at the table, have a dedicated space for them to safely play. Show them how to roll out the dough with the rolling pin, and explore how the different objects make different prints! Talk to them while they feel the different textures. Use this as an opportunity to learn about colors, shapes, and sizes. The popsicle stick also makes for a great "knife", so this can be a great time for them to learn those cutting skills!

Sensory play is a critical part of your child's development. Sensory kits encourage imaginative and independent play, as well as language development. Sensory kits encourage fine motor skill development and the building of nerve connections in the brain. But most importantly, it's fun! (And hey...maybe you can actually finish your cup of coffee while they are occupied sans screens!)

Kits are intended for ages 3 and up as small parts are a choking hazard. Play dough is taste safe, but not very tasty.

Store play dough in an air tight container for up to six months of play. If salt crystals form, just knead the dough with a few drops of water or vegetable oil.

Dough materials: white flour, iodized salt, vegetable oil, cream of tartar, bakery grade colorings and aromas.
